Going back to her roots as a site-specific performer, Keturah conceived of her production of Ricky Ian Gordon’s Orpheus and Euridice inside a marble carving studio in rural Vermont. Enhanced by an installation piece by sculptor and set designer, Liliana Duque Piñeiro, created with reclaimed wood, as well as by the involvement of four dancers, Keturah was able to frame Gordon’s telling of the Orpheus myth among the dust and detritus of our history.

"The nascent Vermont Opera Project is bringing its inaugural production, Ricky Ian Gordon’s “Orpheus and Euridice,” to the National Gallery (Sept. 10-11)."
Anne Midgette, The Washington Post
"Directed and choreographed by Keturah Stickann, the staging proved stylish and effective storytelling. Robert Wood conducted the inviting music, including the excellent instrumentalists, with a real sense of its drama."
Jim Lowe, The Times Argus
"The Vermont Opera Project’s “Orpheus and Euridice” created the effect of a beautiful animated classic painting with music. Now, that’s a different way to enjoy opera."
